Strong Finish with Consistent 5K Pacing Karina ran 28:31 for 5.00 km, averaging 5:42/km. She placed 24th in the Female 5155 division, 674th female, and 2131st overall out of 5624. Representing Clifford Chance in the Canary Wharf evening 5K, she held a tight pacing range across the race. Her first 2 km were exactly matched at 5:45/km, then she moved to 5:42 for the third kilometre. After a small dip to 5:49/km in kilometre 4, she closed fastest in 5:32/km over the final kilometre. That finish was a clear positive. The main coaching note is to try to carry that closing speed a little earlier, as the last kilometre suggests there was extra pace available.
