Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Zead Hadi #7766 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Start Secured a Strong Top-7% Finish Zead ran 5.00 km in 20:22, averaging 4:04/km. He placed 372nd of 5,624 overall, putting him in roughly the top 7% of the field, and 27th in the Male 3640 division. His opening kilometre was especially sharp at 3:34, with 1 km reached in 200th place overall and 7th in his division. The pacing trend was 3:34, 4:03, 4:13, 4:11, and 4:24 per km. He held position well through 4 km, still 317th overall, before the final kilometre cost some places. From a coaching perspective, the key opportunity is pacing control: a slightly more measured first kilometre could help preserve speed later and support a stronger closing km in future evening 5Ks like this fast Canary Wharf course.
