Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Leon Dreyer #274 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Start, Strong Age-Group Result Leon ran 5.00 km in 20:33, averaging 4:06/km. He finished 399th of 5,624 overall and an impressive 2nd in the Male 55+ division, holding that division place from 1 km through the finish. In a big Canary Wharf evening 5K known for its fast closed roads, that age-group result stands out. His opening kilometre was sharp at 3:45, then he settled at 4:05, 4:13, 4:21, and 4:11. That gave him a 12:02 first 3 km and an 8:31 final 2 km. The main stat to watch is the mid-race slowdown from the early pace; a slightly more even first 2 km could help him carry more speed through 34 km while preserving that strong finishing position in his division.
