Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Leon Ferreira #2430 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Quick Start, Then Pace Drift Over the Final 3K Leon covered 5.0 km in 26:59, averaging 5:23/km at Run The Wharf. He placed 1,755th of 5,624 overall, 1,093rd among men, and 154th in the mens 3640 division. His fastest kilometre was km 2 in 4:55, following a solid opening 2 km of 10:01 total. After 2 km, the pace gradually eased: 5:36, 5:33, and 5:50/km across the final 3 km. That early speed shows good front-end capability, especially on a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf. As a coachs note, the main opportunity is holding km 2 rhythm deeper into the race; more even pacing from 35 km would likely move the overall time down.
