Fast Start, Strong Finish for a Sub-20 5K Andrew ran 5.00 km in 19:48, averaging 3:57/km. He finished 310th of 5,624, placing in the top 6% overall, and was 164th male and 55th in the M2630 division. In a large evening field through Canary Wharf, that is a solid sub-20 result with a strong closing position gain. His pacing showed clear speed at both ends: 1st km in 3:50, then 4:00, 4:08, 4:05, before a fastest final km of 3:48. That late surge moved him from 325th at 4 km to 310th at the finish. As a coachs note, the standout stat is the finishing speed: matching that last-kilometre rhythm more evenly through the middle kilometres could bring the overall time down further.
