Strong finish and top age-group result Woody covered 5.00 km in 22:33, averaging 4:30/km. He placed 14th in the male 5155 division and 720th of 5,624 overall, a strong age-group showing in a large field. Among men, he was 455th. His pacing was well controlled across the full 5 km: 4:29, 4:36, 4:38, 4:29, then a fastest closing kilometre of 4:22. After sitting 18th in his division through 2 km, he improved steadily to 16th by 3 km and 14th by the finish. That late lift was a key strength. For future races, aiming to reduce the small dip through kilometres 23 could help turn an already solid run into an even faster overall time.
