Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Aman Somal #667 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Controlled pacing and a strong top-10 age-group result Aman ran 5.00 km in 19:40, averaging 3:56/km. He placed 10th in the M41-45 category, 149th male, and 282nd overall out of 5,624 finishers. That age-group finish stands out, especially in a large evening 5K field through Canary Wharf. His pacing was very even: 3:56, 3:57, 3:55, 3:57, 3:57 per km, with just 2 seconds between fastest and slowest kilometres. He moved up from 13th to 10th in his age group by 3 km and held that position to the finish. That consistency is a clear strength. As a next step, a slightly sharper final 2 km could help turn an even run into an even faster overall time.
