Among men, he was 961st, and 273rd in the male 2630 division. Running with State Street, he also took on the events fast evening 5K format through Canary Wharf. His pacing was the standout stat: 5:18, 5:17, 5:17, 5:07, then 5:03 per km. That is a clear negative split, with the final 2 km 25 seconds quicker than the opening 2 km. He improved position steadily through 4 km before a small drop late, but the stronger finish shows good control. As a coachs note, starting a touch closer to 5:12/km could help turn that late speed into a few more places next time.
