Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Freya Bartlett #5652 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong finish with first-kilometre pace matched at the end Freya covered 5.00 km in 34:15, averaging 6:51/km at Run The Wharf in Canary Wharf. In a field of 5,624, she finished 1,337th female and 249th in the female 1825 category. Representing Incipio Group, she was part of an evening 5K that blends closed-road racing with Friday Night Lights social atmosphere. Her pacing showed a notable rebound: 6:30, 7:07, 7:19, 6:52, 6:30 per km. After the slower middle section, she closed the final 2 km at 6:41/km average, a clear improvement from 7:13/km across km 23. Matching her opening kilometre with her fastest closing kilometre is a useful marker of finishing strength. For the next run, aiming for a steadier middle section could help bring the overall average down further.
