Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Kawser Alam #5900 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish Lifted the Final Result Kawser ran 5.00 km in 30:55, averaging 6:11/km at Run The Wharf. He finished 2651st of 5624, placing in the top half overall, and was 1491st male and 410th in the male 2630 category. In a big evening 5K through Canary Wharf, that closing strength stood out. His pacing showed a clear late surge: 1st km in 5:56, then 6:25, 6:39 and 6:29 before a fastest final kilometre of 5:28. That last km was 1:11 quicker than his slowest, and he gained 49 places overall from 4 km to the finish. As a coachs note, the finish speed is a great sign; aiming for a steadier middle section could bring the overall time down further.
