Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Taeyang Lee #6798 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Quick Start, Solid Sub-27 Finish Taeyang Lee completed the 5K in 26:27, averaging 5:17/km. He placed 1,626th of 5,624 overall, 1,024th among men, and 192nd in the male 3135 division. His fastest kilometre was km 2 in 4:59, and he was under 5:00/km through the first 2km (9:59). The pacing pattern shows a strong opening, then a slower middle: 5:00, 4:59, 5:28, 5:40, and 5:22 per km. He improved slightly over the final kilometre after the slowest split at km 4, which is a positive sign. The main opportunity is to hold the early pace more evenly through km 3 and km 4. In an event known for its fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, a sub-27 result is a solid benchmark.
