Steady 5K with a Strong Closing Kilometre Antar completed the 5K in 39:46, averaging 7:57/km. He placed 96th in the Male 5155 division and finished 3,682nd of 5,624 overall. His opening 2km was his quickest stretch, reaching 2km in 15:12 at 7:36/km average, with splits of 7:28 and 7:45. The middle section eased to 8:24 and 8:25 for kilometres 3 and 4 before he finished well with a 7:46 final kilometre, his second-fastest of the race. That late pickup is a useful positive on a closed-road evening 5K like Run The Wharf. As a coachs note: the clearest gain would come from holding closer to his early rhythm through kilometres 3 and 4, which would make that strong finish even more effective.
