Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Philipp Woelk #420 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Finish Lifted a Steady 5K Philipp ran 5.00 km in 21:41, averaging 4:20/km. He finished 558th of 5,624, placing him in roughly the top 10% overall, and 111th in the male 2630 division. Representing EBRD Runners, he also took part in the On Speed Zone at this Friday Night Lights Canary Wharf event, where the closed-road evening format is built for quick running. His pacing was consistent through 4 km: 4:20, 4:18, 4:26, and 4:32 per km. The standout stat was the final kilometre in 4:07, his fastest of the race by 11 seconds. That late surge moved him from 592nd at 4 km to 558th at the finish, a gain of 34 places. A slightly stronger 34 km section would likely bring his overall time down further.
