Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Nishan Thapa #6144 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Steady Opening Pace with a Solid 5K Finish He completed the 5K in 34:10, averaging 6:50/km across 5.00 km. His quickest kilometre was the first in 6:27/km, and he reached 2 km in 13:12 before finishing with consistent later splits of 6:58, 6:59, and 7:02/km. He placed 266th in the Male 1825 division out of a field of 5,624 overall runners. A notable stat: he improved position through 2 km, moving to 2,952nd overall, before settling back later in the race. The pacing profile shows a fast start followed by a gradual slowdown of 35 seconds per km from first to last. For the next 5K, aiming to hold the opening effort a little closer to overall race pace could help him maintain speed deeper into the run at this fast evening Canary Wharf event.
