Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Ian Wall #1854 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish and Consistent 5K Pacing Ian ran 5.0 km in 27:07, averaging 5:25/km. He was especially steady through the middle of the race: km 2-4 were all 5:30 or faster, and he closed with his quickest full kilometre at 5:18. That late pickup is a strong sign of good control across the distance. In a field of 5,624, he finished 91st in the Male 41-45 division. His position improved from 94th in the division at 1 km to 88th by 3 km before settling at 91st. For a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, this was a well-paced run. As a coachs note, carrying that final-kilometre rhythm a little earlier could help bring the overall average closer to the low-5:20s/km.
