Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Azmat Khan #3408 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish with Fastest Final Kilometre Azmat completed the 5K in 35:33, averaging 7:06/km. He placed 243rd in the Male 3640 category and finished ahead of a substantial portion of the 5,624-runner field. His pacing was steady across the race: 7:05, 7:13, 7:10, 7:17, then 6:49/km. The standout stat was the closing kilometre, his quickest of the day by 16 seconds compared with his average race pace and 28 seconds quicker than kilometre 4. He also gained places early, moving from 257th to 238th in his age group by 2K, and held close to that position through 4K. For the next race, aiming to bring kilometre 4 closer to the pace of the opening 3K could help turn that strong finish into a faster overall time.
