Fast Opening Km, Then Stronger Late Stability Alexandru completed the 5.00 km in 1:14:45, averaging 14:57/km. He placed 159th in the Male 4145 division and finished ahead of 1,712 of 5,624 participants overall. His opening kilometre was his quickest at 7:00/km, followed by a slower middle section before settling into a much steadier closing rhythm. After 3 km in 47:51, he ran the final 2 km in 26:54, averaging 13:27/km. That was a clear improvement on kilometres 24, which ranged from 13:12/km to 27:39/km. The strongest takeaway is the more consistent finish over the last 2 km. For future races, aiming for a more even effort after the opening kilometre could help bring the overall average pace down on fast city 5Ks like this Canary Wharf evening run.
