Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: James Bradbury #233 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong finish with a final kilometre surge James ran 5.00 km in 24:40, averaging 4:56/km. He finished 1,198th of 5,624 overall, 786th male, and 106th in the M3640 division. Running for Greenwich Runners, he moved up steadily through the field, gaining 324 places overall from 1 km to the finish. His pacing was a clear strength. After opening in 4:57, he settled through 2 km and 3 km at 5:14 and 5:11, then returned to 4:56 for the fourth kilometre before closing with his fastest kilometre in 4:23. That final 2 km in 9:19 shows strong control and finishing speed. As a coachs note, smoothing the middle section a little could bring the average pace down further on another fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf.
