Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Susan Doran #3753 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Steady 5K with a Strong Closing Kilometre Susan ran 5.0 km in 33:56, averaging 6:47/km. She placed 66th in the female 4650 division, 1305th female, and 3158th of 5624 overall. Her fastest kilometre was the final one in 6:42, and she opened with two very even kilometres at 6:44/km. The middle of the race eased slightly to 6:51 and 6:56 before a good lift late. From 2 km to 4 km, pace drifted by 12 seconds per km, then she regained 14 seconds in the closing kilometre. That finish is a useful marker: holding closer to early-race pace through 34 km could bring the overall time down. Run The Wharfs evening closed-road format suited a controlled, consistent effort with a solid finish.
