Strong Mid-Race Progress and Consistent Closing Pace Mohammad completed the 5K in 32:55, averaging 6:35/km. He placed 106th of 4650 men in a field of 5,624. After opening with 7:06/km, he settled well into the race and improved his pace across the middle kilometres. His quickest kilometre was km 4 in 6:23, and km 25 were tightly grouped at 6:29, 6:34, 6:23, and 6:26/km. He also moved up notably through the race, from 117th to 101st in his age group by 4km before finishing 106th. That pattern suggests good adjustment after the first kilometre and solid control over the final 4km. For the next outing, a slightly sharper opening kilometre could help him carry that stronger mid-race rhythm for the full distance, especially on a fast evening 5K like Run The Wharf.
