Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Neil Nguyen #84 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast 5K with Consistent Sub-3:55/km Pacing He ran 5.00 km in 19:17, averaging 3:51/km. In a field of 5,624, he finished 229th overall, 112th male, and 31st in the M31-35 division. That puts him in roughly the top 4.1% overall. At an evening closed-road 5K built for speed through Canary Wharf, this was a strong, efficient performance. His kilometre splits were 3:52, 3:47, 3:50, 3:59, and 3:52. The standout section was km 2, and he improved his division place from 40th at 1 km to 31st at the finish. The pacing was steady across the full race, with only a brief slowdown in km 4 before he closed back at 3:52. A useful next step would be holding km 4 closer to the rhythm of km 2-3.
