Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Destiny Southern #389 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Start, Strong Overall Result Destiny ran 5.00 km in 20:13, averaging 4:02/km. She placed 37th female out of a large field of 5,624 and 17th in the womens 2630 division. Her opening kilometre was the quickest at 3:57, followed by very steady 4:06 splits through 3 km, showing good early control at a fast pace. The main slowdown came in the 34 km section at 7:18/km before she recovered well to the finish. That rebound was important and helped protect a strong overall time. In an evening 5K built for speed through Canary Wharf, the standout stats were her sub-4:00 opening kilometre, sub-20:15 finish, and high placing within a very deep field. For the next race, aiming for a more even 35 km could unlock a faster result.
