Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Cat Kevern #1637 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Start, Strong Finish for a Sub-23:30 5K Cat ran 5.00 km in 23:11, averaging 4:38/km. She finished 174th female and 30th in the Female 3135 division out of 5,624 participants overall. Her opening 2 km was sharp at 8:58 total, averaging 4:29/km, with her quickest full kilometres at 4:24 and 4:22. The middle of the race dipped slightly, with kilometres 3 and 4 at 5:08 and 4:43, before she closed very well with the fastest late response of the race in the final kilometre. That rebound is a strong positive, especially in a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf. For the next race, aiming to hold the 02 km pace more evenly through 34 km could move her closer to the low-23 or sub-23 range.
