Strong 4K Consistency Before a Disrupted Finish Andrew covered 5.0 km in 1:46:54, averaging 21:22/km. Through 4 km, though, he was running much more strongly and evenly: 5:48, 5:25, 5:36, and 5:34 per km. That put him at 22:22 for 4 km, with a solid mid-race gain from 66th to 56th in the Male 5155 division. He finished 106th in division out of a field of 5,624 overall participants. The standout stat is the contrast between the first 4 km pace band of 5:255:48/km and the final recorded kilometre at 1:24:33. That points to a major interruption rather than a gradual fade. From a coaching view, the sustained rhythm across 24 km is the key positive: he held a narrow pace range and improved position early. A cleaner close would make the overall result reflect that stronger opening work.
