Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Catherine Biss #5915 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish with Best Pace in the Final Kilometre Catherine completed this 5.0 km evening race in 37:58, averaging 7:35/km. She placed 196th in the Female 3640 division, 1,594th female, and 3,572nd overall out of 5,624 finishers. In a fast closed-road 5K at Canary Wharf, her strongest stat was the finish: the final kilometre was her quickest at 7:15/km. Her pacing was steady across the middle of the race, with kilometres 24 at 7:48, 7:44, and 7:50/km after a 7:22 opening kilometre. That closing lift suggests good reserve late on. As a coachs note, a slightly more even first 2 km could help preserve momentum and support a stronger overall average pace next time.
