Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: William Arrenberg #111 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Podium Age-Group Finish with Sub-3:55/km Consistency William covered 5.00 km in 19:32, averaging 3:54/km. He placed 3rd in the Male 4650 division, 137th male, and 263rd overall out of 5,624 runners. That age-group podium stands out, especially in a large field at this fast evening Canary Wharf 5K. His pacing was steady: 3:49, 3:57, 3:57, 4:01, then a strong 3:50 final kilometre. After the quickest opening kilometre, he kept the middle 3 km tightly grouped within 4 seconds per km, then closed faster than race pace. That finishing lift suggests good control over the effort. For future races, aiming to smooth the small slowdown in kilometre 4 could help convert this consistency into an even quicker overall time.
