Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Janice Warden #3586 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish with Best Pace in the Final Kilometre Janice covered 5.00km in 35:35, averaging 7:07/km. She placed 79th in the Female 4650 division, 1,469th among women, and 3,381st overall out of 5,624 finishers. Running with Investec at Run The Wharf, she handled the evening 5K through Canary Wharf with a very even first 4km. Her kilometre splits were 7:11, 7:08, 7:17, 7:16, then a clear closing lift to 6:45/km in the final kilometre, her fastest of the race by 23 seconds compared with the opening kilometre. She also improved division position from 84th at 1km to 76th by 24km before finishing 79th. As a coachs note: the late speed is a useful positivebringing a little more of that effort into the middle kilometres could trim the overall time.
