Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Dan Khan #1273 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Opening Km, Then Settled Into Steady 5K Pace Dan covered 5.00 km in 33:30, averaging 6:42/km at Run The Wharf in Canary Wharf. He finished 3100th of 5624 overall, 1645th among men, and 450th in the mens 2630 division. A standout stat: his opening kilometre was 4:53, well quicker than his overall average pace. After that fast start, his middle and closing kilometres were much steadier: 8:14, 6:48, 6:55, and 6:43. He gained places through 2 km before settling near the same position from 34 km, then giving up a few spots late. As a coachs note, a more controlled first kilometre would likely support a stronger overall rhythm across the full 5K, especially in a quick closed-road evening race like this.
