Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Warwick Stockdale #1500 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong finish and well-paced 5K effort Warwick ran 5.00 km in 23:40, averaging 4:44/km. He finished 52nd in the M4145 category and inside the top 18% overall in a field of 5,624. Through 4 km, his pacing was notably steady: 4:50, 4:50, 4:56, then 4:47 per km. The standout stat was the final kilometre in 4:18/km, 29 seconds quicker than his previous fastest kilometre and enough to move up from 1,056th to 969th overall. That late surge shows strong finishing speed and good reserve late in the race. As a coaching point, bringing a little more of that final-kilometre intensity into the middle section could lower his overall time further. Run The Wharfs evening closed-road 5K setup suited a fast finish well here.
