Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Urvish Patel #3190 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong negative split with a fast closing kilometre He covered 5.00 km in 27:57, averaging 5:35/km. Through 4 km, he steadily improved his cumulative pace from 5:47/km at 1 km to 5:38/km at 4 km, then finished with his quickest kilometre in 5:24. His middle section was particularly effective, moving from 2 km in 11:33 to 3 km in 17:03 with a 5:30 split. In a field of 5,624, he finished 2,005th overall and 341st in the male 2630 division. He gained places through 3 km, moving from 2,404th at 1 km to 1,957th at 3 km, and held that through 4 km before a small drop late on. That pacing profile is a good sign: the next step is to bring the final-kilometre strength slightly earlier while keeping that strong finish in this fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf.
