Strong Finish and Well-Paced 5K Jack completed the 5K in 29:57, averaging 5:59/km. He covered each kilometre between 5:53/km and 6:09/km, a tight 16-second range that shows controlled pacing. After opening at 5:55/km, he settled through the middle kilometres at 6:09, 6:06, and 5:57/km, then closed with his fastest kilometre at 5:53/km. He moved up well through 4km, improving from 2632nd overall at 1km to 2375th at 4km before finishing 2442nd out of 5624. That late pace is the standout stat: fastest final kilometre and a negative split from the middle of the race into the close. For the next 5K, aiming to match that closing pace a little earlier could help bring his overall average closer to the low-5:50s/km in a quick evening Canary Wharf event.
