Strong Negative Split with Fast Late Kilometres Richard covered 5.0 km in 33:20, averaging 6:40/km. He placed 108th in the M46-50 division out of a field of 5,624 overall. The standout stat was his pacing: after opening in 7:47/km, he improved each kilometre to 6:35, 6:30, then closed with back-to-back 6:15/km splits from 4 km to the finish. That progression moved him from 124th to 108th in his age group by 3 km, and he held that position through the line. From a coaching view, the strong finish shows good control and plenty left for the second half. The main opportunity is to bring the early pace closer to his later rhythm, which could lower his overall time on another fast evening 5K like Run The Wharf.
