Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Suraj Bhudia #4448 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast finish and strong top-2% result He ran 5.00 km in 18:07, averaging 3:37/km. That placed him 123rd of 5,624 overall, 34th male, and 11th in the male 3135 division. He finished in roughly the top 2.2% of the field, a notable result in a large evening 5K through Canary Wharf. His pacing was very steady: 1 km splits of 3:37, 3:40, 3:43, 3:40, then a quickest closing kilometre of 3:29. He improved from 178th at 1 km to 123rd at the finish, gaining places throughout and moving from 26th to 11th in his age group. As a coachs note, the closing speed suggests there may be scope to press a little earlier over the middle kilometres while keeping this strong finish intact.
