Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Laurent Putz #497 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast finish caps a steady sub-3:53/km 5K Laurent ran 5.00 km in 19:20, averaging 3:52/km. He finished 232nd of 5,624, placing him well inside the top 5% overall, and 37th in the M26-30 division. His opening 2 km were especially sharp: 3:52, 3:52, reaching 2 km in 7:44. At an event known for its quick closed-road evening route through Canary Wharf, that consistency stood out. His pacing was controlled across the full race: 3 km in 11:40, 4 km in 15:38, then a strongest final kilometre of 3:42. That closing surge gained 19 overall places over the last kilometre. The main opportunity is to hold that finishing pace a little earlier; with the strength he showed late, there may be scope to trim more time in the middle kilometres.
