Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Owen Mason #340 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast 5K with a strong closing kilometre Owen ran 5.00 km in 20:27, averaging 4:05/km. She placed 381st of 5,624 overall, 41st female, and 4th in the female 3135 division. That age-group result stands out most, putting her just off the podium in a very large field. Her pacing was steady across the full distance: 3:59, 4:05, 4:10, 4:12, and 4:03 per km. She opened quickest, held close to pace through 3 km, then finished with her second-fastest kilometre after a slight dip in kilometres 34. That late response is a good sign. To move into the top 3 in the division, the main target is trimming a few seconds in the middle kilometres while keeping that strong finish on this quick evening Canary Wharf course.
