Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Jacqui Powell #1666 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast finish capped a steady 5K Jacqui Powell ran 5.00 km in 26:51, averaging 5:22/km at Run The Wharf in London. She placed 12th in the Female 5155 division, a strong age-group result in a field of 5,624. Running with EBRD Runners, she stayed close to her average throughout the race and finished with her quickest kilometre. Her opening 2 km were controlled at 5:19/km and 5:22/km, followed by 5:29/km and 5:33/km through 4 km. The standout stat was the final kilometre: 5:10/km, 23 seconds quicker than the previous km and the fastest of the day. That late surge shows good finishing strength. From a coaching view, holding the mid-race kilometres a little closer to early pace could have brought the overall time down further on this fast evening Canary Wharf course.
