Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Ayman Moustafa #1366 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong finish lifts a steady 5K Ayman ran 5.0 km in 24:14, averaging 4:50/km. He finished 1107th of 5624, placing him in roughly the top 20% overall, and 136th in the male 3135 category. His pacing was controlled across the first 4 km: 4:49, 4:58, 5:00, and 4:56, keeping his average close to 4:55/km through that stretch. The standout stat was the final kilometre in 4:33, his quickest of the race by 16 seconds, which moved him from 1129th to 1107th overall and from 141st to 136th in his division. That late acceleration shows good closing strength. As a coachs note, the clearest opportunity is to bring km 24 a little closer to his opening pace; even slightly tighter mid-race pacing would build well on this finish.
