Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Thomas Keen #774 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Start, Then Very Steady 5K Execution Thomas ran 5.00 km in 23:04, averaging 4:36/km. He finished 834th of 5,624 overall, placing him in roughly the top 15% of the field. In the mens standings he was 537th, and 110th in the Male 1825 category. For an evening closed-road 5K through Canary Wharf, this was a well-controlled effort with a strong overall average. His opening kilometre was his quickest at 4:29, then he settled into a consistent run: 4:40, 4:41, 4:38 and 4:37. That 4 km stretch varied by only 4 seconds, which is a very solid pacing pattern. He also improved his position through 4 km, moving from 869th to 793rd before a small drop late on. As a coachs note, holding a touch more of that early gain over the final kilometre could bring the next 5K closer to the low-23 or sub-23 range.
