Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Mark Carman #3277 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Start, Strong Finish Over 5K Mark covered 5.00 km in 31:27, averaging 6:17/km at Run The Wharf in Canary Wharfs closed-road evening 5K. He placed 215th in the male 3640 division and finished in the top half overall, 2748th of 5624. His fastest kilometres were the opening 1 km in 6:00 and the final 1 km in 6:01. The middle of the race eased to 6:20, 6:38 and 6:30/km before he closed well, bringing his overall pace back down. That finish shows good late-race response after a slower middle section. As a coaching note, aiming for a steadier rhythm through kilometres 24 could help turn that strong finish into a quicker overall 5K next time.
