His opening kilometre was his quickest at 4:49, and he closed well with a 4:50 final kilometre after mid-race splits of 4:56, 5:04 and 5:11. The pacing pattern shows a solid start, a gradual slowdown through 4 km, then a sharp rebound to finish nearly as fast as he began.
