Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Louise Goddard #4431 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong age-group result with a fast closing kilometre Louise ran 5.00 km in 23:42, averaging 4:44/km. She placed 13th in the Female 3640 category, 206th female, and 971st overall out of 5,624 starters. That age-group placing stands out, especially in a large field at this fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf. Her pacing was controlled: 4:32, 4:50, 4:49, 4:52, then 4:41 for the final kilometre. After a quick opening kilometre, she settled into a narrow mid-race range of 4:494:52/km, then closed 11 seconds faster than kilometre 4. That late pickup is a good sign of strength and race awareness. For another step forward, aiming to smooth the gap between the first and middle kilometres could help her turn that strong finish into a slightly faster overall time.
