Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Oliver Kent #2584 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong close with steady sub-4:45/km pacing Oliver covered 5.00 km in 23:36, averaging 4:43/km. In a field of 5,624, he finished 954th overall and 183rd in the mens 2630 division. His pacing was controlled after a quick opening kilometre of 4:33, with the middle 3 km tightly grouped at 4:52, 4:49, and 4:47 before a fastest closing section after the start at 4:37. That finish stands out: he regained pace well over the final kilometre and held his overall average under 4:45/km. The main opportunity is to smooth the gap between the first and second kilometres, as a more even early effort could support an even stronger overall time. This closed-road evening 5K through Canary Wharf suited a fast, consistent run.
