Steady 5K with a strong second kilometre Luci covered 5.00 km in 34:58, averaging 6:59/km. She finished 300th in the Female 3135 division and 1417th among women in a field of 5,624. Her quickest section came early: kilometre 2 in 6:36, moving her up from 3,390th overall at 1 km to 3,070th at 2 km. After that, her pacing stayed fairly controlled with kilometres of 7:04, 7:16 and 7:04. The spread between fastest and slowest full kilometres was 40 seconds, which shows a solid base of consistency. As a coachs note, the clearest opportunity is to carry the momentum of that second kilometre deeper into the run, especially through kilometres 3 and 4. In a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, that mid-race steadiness gives a useful platform to build on.
