Her pacing stayed controlled across the course, fitting the fast evening 5K format through Canary Wharf. She opened in 6:33/km, then ran 6:45, 7:06, 6:44, and 6:40 for the remaining kilometres. That finish is a good stat: her last kilometre was 26 seconds quicker than kilometre 3. She also moved up well early, improving from 61st to 53rd in her division by 2 km before settling back to 62nd at the line. As a coachs note, the key opportunity is the middle section: holding kilometre 3 closer to the pace of kilometres 4 and 5 would make this an even more even run.
