Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Irfan Raja #2817 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Start, Then Settled Into a Solid 5K He ran 5.00 km in 25:08, averaging 5:01/km. In a field of 5,624, he finished 1,312th overall, 851st among men, and 115th in the M3640 division. His opening 2 km were his quickest at 4:47 and 4:54, reaching 2 km in 9:41 before crossing 3 km in 14:45. From there, the pace eased to 5:05, 5:18, and 5:06 for the final 3 km. That early speed shows good front-end pace, and holding the last kilometre slightly quicker than kilometre 4 was a useful recovery. For the next race, aiming for a more even spread across the middle kilometres could help convert that strong opening into a faster overall time. Run The Wharfs closed-road evening format suited a brisk start.
