Quick Start, Then Settled Into a Steady 5K Zara completed this 5K in 39:48, averaging 7:57/km. She covered the opening kilometre in 6:31, then ran the remaining 4 km in a tight range from 7:59/km to 8:32/km. Her fastest stretch was the first kilometre, and she closed slightly quicker over the final kilometre than kilometres 24. She finished 495th in the female 2630 division. This was a clear positive start on a fast evening Canary Wharf course built for rhythm and momentum. From a coaching view, the key gain is pacing control: the first kilometre was well ahead of overall pace, while the final 4 km averaged about 8:19/km. A more even opening could help her hold speed deeper into the race.
