Steady 5K with a strong second kilometre Nescerine completed the 5K in 34:26, averaging 6:53/km. She placed 1,368th of 5,624 women overall and 423rd in the female 2630 division. Her fastest kilometre was km 2 in 6:36, improving from a 6:50 opening kilometre and briefly moving up to 3,035th overall. The pacing pattern was solid through the middle of the race: 6:50, 6:36, 7:13, 6:57, 6:53 per km. After the quick second kilometre, km 3 was the slowest, but she regained rhythm well over the final 2 km and closed at essentially her average pace. That ability to settle back in is a useful strength. For future 5Ks, aiming to smooth out the gap between km 2 and km 3 could help bring the overall time down.
