Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Joe Denty #1133 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Quick Start, Solid Close for a Sub-26 5K Joe ran 5.00 km in 25:58, averaging 5:11/km. In a field of 5,624, he finished 1,496th overall and 129th in the mens 3640 division. His fastest kilometre was the opener in 4:49, and he stayed close to his average pace with a 5:10 final kilometre. The clearest trend was the change from 9:49 at 2 km to 15:20 at 3 km, where pace moved from 4:54/km to 5:06/km. After that, he steadied well: 4 km in 20:48 and 5 km in 25:58, with the last 2 km averaging 5:19/km and then 5:10/km to finish. For a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, that opening speed was a real asset; the next step is holding the 24 km section a little closer to the start and finish pace.
