Quick Start, Strong Top-50 Age-Group Finish She completed the 5K in 29:45, averaging 5:57/km, and placed 50th in the female 4145 division. In a field of 5,624, she finished 2,403rd overall and 830th among women. Her opening kilometre was her quickest at 5:19, giving her an early position of 32nd in her age group. The pacing trend was 5:19, 5:59, 6:10, 6:13, and 6:06 per km, with a small lift in the final kilometre after the slowest section in kilometre 4. That late response was a good sign. The main performance gain would come from narrowing the gap between the opening kilometre and the middle of the race. Run The Wharfs closed-road evening 5K suits steady pacing, and this was a solid age-group result.
