Fast Start, Strong Top-15 Age-Group Result Ruby ran 5.00 km in 21:57, averaging 4:23/km. She finished 15th in the Female 3135 division, 92nd female, and 602nd of 5,624 overall. That placed her in roughly the top 11% of the field, a strong outcome in a large evening 5K through Canary Wharf. Her pacing was controlled early, with a quickest opening kilometre of 4:11, then a steady run of 4:25, 4:26, 4:28 and 4:29/km. She improved her position through 3 km, moving from 605th to 569th overall and from 92nd to 82nd among women before easing slightly late. As a coachs note: the first kilometre was clearly quick enough to race well, so holding closer to 4:254:27/km deeper into the final 2 km could help convert that strong start into an even faster overall time.
